The Burroughs - Cover "Jolene"

We saw this band in Loveland on the 4th of July. They call their music "Sweaty Soul" - and it is so good. They are out of Denver and we will definitely be keeping an eye on them. Here is their latest release, a great Dolly Parton cover. Enjoy.

Gary Clark, Jr.'s Kick Ass Cover of "Come Together" for Justice League Movie

We saw Gary at Red Rocks a couple of years ago during a crazy summer downpour ("See? He is playing in the rain too.") - Now he has opened up this can of kick-ass. Great trailer too. Makes me want to see Justice League.

Higher Ground - Great Organization for Music - Playing for Change

Gene turned me onto this killer organization that unifies musicians from around the world. They raise money for music school. The song is one of many killer collaborations.

"If you ever go to Houston, boy, you better walk right"

Huddie William "Lead Belly" Ledbetter's Angola Prison tune derived from an American slave folklore song pays the typical correctional facility and crime-twisted tribute to the host of this year's Stooper Bowl, Houston, Texas.

May the Atlanta Falcons be that "Midnight Special" come Sunday.
